Get paid through Stripe with the Samba booking system

Samba processes tour and activity bookings through Stripe. Payments land directly in your own Stripe account, so Samba never holds your money, and connecting takes about five minutes.

Money lands in your account

Payouts go straight to your own Stripe account on its normal schedule. Samba never holds your funds in between.

About five minutes to connect

Authorize Samba once and you’re set. No engineering, no setup fees, no contracts.

Competitive payment fees

Stripe charges its standard processing fee — competitive, transparent, and the same as a direct sale.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

Let travelers pay with a tap instead of typing card details. Turn both on from settings once Stripe is connected.

What Stripe handles for your bookings

Samba takes the booking; Stripe moves the money. Every charge runs through your own Stripe account — deposits, later installments, and refunds all work the same way. Payouts follow your normal Stripe schedule and Samba is never in between. Your payment history, your customers and your payout timing stay exactly where they are today.

Deposits and payment plans

Most multi-day trips aren’t paid in one go. Samba can take a deposit at checkout and collect the balance later, either on a schedule you set or as one final payment. Each installment is charged to the card the traveler saved when they booked — nobody has to be sent a payment link, and nobody has to be chased.

Refunds work from inside Samba and go back to the card the traveler used.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

Both can be switched on from your settings once Stripe is connected. Travelers tap a wallet button instead of typing card details, which is where most mobile drop-off happens.

One thing worth knowing: wallet buttons show up on fixed-price trips paid in full. If a traveler is leaving a deposit or choosing a payment plan, they’ll pay by card instead.

What you need to get started

A Stripe account in one of the 40+ countries Stripe covers, and one account per workspace. If you don’t have one yet you can create it while connecting — it’s the same five minutes either way. No engineering, no setup fee, nothing to install.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own Stripe account?

Yes. You connect your own Stripe account to Samba, so your payouts, payment history, and customer data stay under your control.

Who holds the money from a booking?

Stripe pays out to your account on its normal schedule. Samba never holds your funds in between.

Who pays the Stripe processing fee?

Stripe charges its standard processing fee to your account, the same as it would on any direct sale.

Can I refund a booking from Samba?

Yes. Refunds you issue in Samba are processed back through Stripe to the traveler’s original payment method.

Can travelers pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Yes. Both can be turned on from your settings once Stripe is connected. Wallet buttons appear on fixed-price trips paid in full; travelers leaving a deposit or choosing a payment plan pay by card instead.

Can I connect a Stripe account I already sell through?

Yes. Samba connects to your existing account and does not change how you use it elsewhere. Each Samba workspace connects one Stripe account.
