For yoga & wellness retreat hosts

Stay zen. Samba holds the rest.

Yoga weeks, meditation retreats, wellness escapes — intimate, high-touch trips where every guest arrives with preferences, and the host is usually a team of one.

Without Samba

Twelve guests — and somehow forty emails.

The deposit by bank transfer, the balance reminder written by hand, the dietary note in a thread from March. The retreat is about presence — and its host spends the run-up in an inbox.

Payments

Booked with a deposit, paid by arrival

  • Deposits make the yes easy. Guests reserve their spot with a deposit and pay the rest on a gentle schedule before the retreat.
  • Balances collect themselves. Automatic installments with retries and a self-service portal. Prefer a softer touch? Switch to reminders-only.
  • Your money, directly — with clear terms. Payments land in your own Stripe account, ready for the venue deposit and the chef. Cancellation tiers are agreed at booking and applied in a click.

Know every guest before they arrive

  • Dietary needs, collected automatically. Vegan, allergies, sensitivities — gathered from each guest after booking and handed to your chef as one clean list.
  • Your questions, your flow. Practice level, injuries, room preferences, intentions for the week — build any intake question once, reuse it on every retreat.
  • A guest list that builds itself. Who is coming, what they need, who to call — no spreadsheet, no chasing.

Retreat pages

A page as calm as the retreat

  • Story-led retreat pages. Day-by-day flow, the venue, the teachers, the food, galleries and FAQs — assembled block by block, no developer.
  • Room types as packages. Shared, twin, private ocean-view — priced side by side, with early-bird promo codes when you want them.
  • Your brand throughout. Your colors, fonts, and logo on every page — Samba keeps to a small, discreet mark.

Departures

Groups, privates, and the shape of your year

  • A calendar of retreat dates. Publish your spring and autumn weeks with real capacity — a 14-mat retreat closes at 14.
  • Private group requests. A teacher wants to bring her studio? Request-to-book lets groups propose dates. Accept, and a private retreat exists for exactly that group.
  • Teachers and spaces, allocated. Co-teachers on the roster per retreat, and shared spaces or equipment tracked so parallel retreats never collide.

Frequently asked questions

Does Samba handle retreat capacity — mats, rooms, teachers — not just a headcount?

Yes. Each retreat date is published with a real capacity, so a 14-mat retreat closes at 14. Room types — shared, twin, private — are sold as packages priced side by side, and co-teachers and shared spaces or equipment are allocated per retreat so two retreats running in parallel never double-book the same studio.

Can guests reserve with a deposit and pay the balance before the retreat?

Yes. Set a deposit and a payment schedule per retreat. Samba collects the installments automatically, retries failed cards, and gives each guest a self-service portal to pay without emailing you. If automatic charges feel too pushy for your guests, switch that retreat to reminders only.

If I also list a retreat on GetYourGuide, do those bookings land in the same guest list?

Yes. GetYourGuide bookings sync into the same calendar and guest list as bookings from your own retreat page, so capacity stays accurate across both channels and you’re not reconciling two lists before the retreat. If you only sell direct, there’s nothing extra to set up.

What does Samba cost for a retreat host?

$0 a month, no setup fees, no contracts. The first $10,000 in bookings is free; after that it’s a flat 2% per booking, which you can absorb or pass on to guests. Stripe processing is billed separately by Stripe, and payments land in your own Stripe account.

How does Samba compare to WeTravel for a retreat host?

WeTravel is a solid choice for retreats — it handles payment plans and group trips well, and plenty of hosts run on it happily. The main difference is price visibility: WeTravel publishes its plans, but its per-booking fee is only shared on a demo, while Samba’s full cost is on our pricing page. If WeTravel already works for your margins, there’s little reason to move; if you want to know exactly what a season of retreats will cost before you talk to anyone, that’s where Samba fits.
