Connect Claude to your Samba workspace
Add Samba to Claude as a custom connector and ask about your business in plain language: this season’s bookings as a chart, who still owes a balance, who is on tomorrow’s departure. Paste one URL, sign in to Samba, and you are connected. No code and no API key.
Answers from live data
Claude reads your workspace as it is right now, not an export from last week.
One URL, no code
Paste https://mcp.sambahq.com into Claude’s connector settings and sign in to Samba.
Disconnect anytime
Every connected assistant is listed in Samba under Settings → Connect your AI.
What can you ask Claude?
“Chart this season’s bookings and revenue by month, split by experience, and tell me what changed.” “Which balances are due in the next two weeks, and which installments failed?” “Who is on tomorrow’s 7am kayak tour, and who hasn’t filled in the medical form?” Claude looks the answers up in Samba and replies with a list, a table or a chart.
You can keep going in the same conversation: ask which of those travelers booked through an OTA, or turn the season chart into a short summary for your business partner.
How do you get a good answer?
Name what you mean: the experience, the departure date, the period. “Bookings” is vague; “bookings for the Chamonix Ski Week departures in March” is not. Say how you want it back, as a table, a chart or three bullet points. A day-tour operator might ask how many seats are left across every Saturday departure; a multi-day operator might ask which travelers on the Patagonia Traverse still owe their second installment.
Why not just export a spreadsheet?
An export is out of date the moment you download it, and every new question means another export. Claude reads Samba when you ask, so the answer reflects the booking that came in five minutes ago. Nothing leaves Samba as a file sitting in someone’s downloads folder.
How is this different from the API?
The Samba API is for your developer: it needs code and a key, and it is built to copy data into other systems on a schedule. The Claude connector needs neither, and it answers one question at a time for whoever is asking.
What can Claude see?
Your experiences and departures, with the seats left on each. Bookings, booking requests and cancellation requests. Customers. Payments, installments and invoices. Traveler forms and their answers. Discount codes and gift cards.
Today Claude reads your workspace. Making changes from the chat, like moving a traveler to another date or adding seats to a departure, is coming soon.
Does it work in Claude Code?
Developers can add Samba from the terminal: run claude mcp add --transport http samba https://mcp.sambahq.com, then type /mcp to sign in to Samba. The same tools are available as in the Claude app.
What happens to your data?
Claude sees only the workspace you approved, and only while the connection is active. The connection stops working for good if the person who approved it is no longer an Owner or Admin. What Claude reads is handled under Anthropic’s terms, and traveler forms can hold passport and health details, so connect only accounts you trust.
For how the connector works with other AI assistants, see Samba MCP.

Frequently asked questions
Does it cost extra?
No. Samba MCP is included in every Samba workspace.
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in to Samba and approve the connection. There is no key to copy.
Can Claude change my bookings?
Not yet. Today Claude reads your workspace. Updating bookings, departures and discount codes is coming soon.
Who can connect Claude to Samba?
Workspace Owners and Admins. Each connection works with one workspace, and stops working if the person who approved it is no longer an Owner or Admin.
Can a team member who is not an Owner or Admin connect Claude?
No. Only Owners and Admins can approve a connection, and it works in the assistant account of the person who approved it.
What if Claude gets something wrong?
Claude reads the same data you see in Samba, but it can still misread a question or a date. For anything you act on, like a balance to chase or a traveler to call, open the booking in Samba before you do.
How do I disconnect Claude?
In Samba, open Settings → Connect your AI and click Disconnect next to Claude. You can also remove the connector in Claude’s settings.
