Connect ChatGPT to your Samba workspace
Add Samba to ChatGPT as a custom MCP plugin and ask about your business in plain language: balances due, failed installments, tomorrow’s participants, this season’s numbers. Paste one URL, sign in to Samba, and you are connected. No code and no API key.
Answers from live data
ChatGPT reads your workspace as it is right now, not an export from last week.
One URL, no code
Paste https://mcp.sambahq.com into ChatGPT’s plugin settings and sign in to Samba.
Disconnect anytime
Every connected assistant is listed in Samba under Settings → Connect your AI.
What can you ask ChatGPT?
“Which balances are due in the next two weeks, and which installments failed?” “How many seats are left on every March departure?” “Which cancellation requests are still open?” “Send me the invoice for booking SMB-2026-000123.” ChatGPT looks the answers up in Samba and replies in the chat.
Follow-ups stay in context: ask which of those balances belong to multi-day trips, or draft a polite reminder to the travelers you need to chase, then send it yourself.
How do you get a good answer?
Name what you mean: the experience, the departure date, the period. “Payments” is vague; “installments due on Patagonia Traverse bookings before December 1” is not. Say how you want it back, as a table, a list or a short summary. A day-tour operator might ask which of this weekend’s departures are less than half full; a multi-day operator might ask which travelers haven’t sent their passport details for next month’s trip.
Why not just export a spreadsheet?
An export is out of date the moment you download it, and every new question means another export. ChatGPT reads Samba when you ask, so the answer reflects the booking that came in five minutes ago. Nothing leaves Samba as a file sitting in someone’s downloads folder.
How is this different from the API?
The Samba API is for your developer: it needs code and a key, and it is built to copy data into other systems on a schedule. The ChatGPT plugin needs neither, and it answers one question at a time for whoever is asking.
What can ChatGPT see?
Your experiences and departures, with the seats left on each. Bookings, booking requests and cancellation requests. Customers. Payments, installments and invoices. Traveler forms and their answers. Discount codes and gift cards.
Today ChatGPT reads your workspace. Making changes from the chat, like moving a traveler to another date or creating a discount code, is coming soon.
What happens to your data?
ChatGPT sees only the workspace you approved, and only while the connection is active. The connection stops working for good if the person who approved it is no longer an Owner or Admin. What ChatGPT reads is handled under OpenAI’s terms and your ChatGPT data settings, and traveler forms can hold passport and health details, so connect only accounts you trust.
Does it work with other assistants?
The same URL works in Claude, Mistral, Cursor, VS Code and any client that supports remote MCP servers. See Samba MCP for how it works.
How connecting works

Paste https://mcp.sambahq.com, choose OAuth as the authentication method and create it as a plugin.
- 3
Sign in and approve
Click Connect, sign in to Samba, choose your workspace and click Approve.
Frequently asked questions
Does it cost extra?
No. Samba MCP is included in every Samba workspace.
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in to Samba and approve the connection. There is no key to copy.
Can ChatGPT change my bookings?
Not yet. Today ChatGPT reads your workspace. Updating bookings, departures and discount codes is coming soon.
Who can connect ChatGPT to Samba?
Workspace Owners and Admins. Each connection works with one workspace, and stops working if the person who approved it is no longer an Owner or Admin.
Can a team member who is not an Owner or Admin connect ChatGPT?
No. Only Owners and Admins can approve a connection, and it works in the assistant account of the person who approved it.
What if ChatGPT gets something wrong?
ChatGPT reads the same data you see in Samba, but it can still misread a question or a date. For anything you act on, like a balance to chase or a traveler to call, open the booking in Samba before you do.
How do I disconnect ChatGPT?
In Samba, open Settings → Connect your AI and click Disconnect next to ChatGPT. You can also remove the plugin in ChatGPT’s settings.
Can ChatGPT message my travelers or take payments?
No. It reads your workspace to answer your questions. Anything you send to travelers, you send yourself.
